Opening Day 2023 marked the launch of Sage’s MLB sponsorship, and we wanted to come out swinging. But how do you make a splash in your first at-bat?

Sage is a B2B management software brand that uses insights and tools to automate processes for small-to-medium size businesses. We wanted to show Sage customers that they can take a break every once in a while and trust that Sage has them covered.

So we partnered with Hall of Famer and Sage customer Cal Ripken Jr., who played in an MLB record 2,632 consecutive games, to invite customers to spend Opening Day OOO with Sage at the ballpark. If the Iron Man can take a day off work, so can you, right?

We launched with social content anchored in a 90-second hero spot featuring Cal surprising customers, pitched Cal for national media appearances, and launched an interactive contest on MLB.com that challenged fans to engage with Sage insights.
